Message from the Director

April 19 is the date of the start and end of the Revolution in 1775 and 1783 respectively. The United State Semiquincentennial continues at the library with two programs for your elucidation. Please join us April 9th at 6PM for “The Lenape: Native Americans, New Jersey, and American History” with Seton Hall Professor of History Dr. Sean P. Harvey. On April 18th at 2PM The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts presents “Garden State: Living Off the Land in Early New Jersey” for a look at 18th and 19th century farming techniques and technology.

Revolutionary and former President John Adams wrote to his son and future past President John Quincy Adams “with a poet in your pocket you will never be alone”. April is National Poetry Month. See below for poetry programs for kids, teens, and adults.
