Message from the Director

Summer ends in August, but not the Revolution. August 2, 1776 was the official signing of the Declaration of Independence by members of Congress. Here in New Jersey, Bridgetown declared independence on August 8. 

Here in West Orange in 2026, the Summer Reading Program will be wrapping up August 16 so be sure to grab some beach reads, finish all of your Summer Reading challenges, and enjoy the final summer reading programs.
